May D Demanded for just too much--- Jude Okoye explains

After the first press release intimating the public about the exit of Akinmayokun ‘May D’ Awodumila from Square Records, the singing duo has not come out to make any other official comment until recently when Jude, their eldest brother did.
The multi-talented Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, musical video director per excellence, sheds some light as to why the artiste was let off. In a TV interview recently, he said, “May D was making very tall demands on the label. When it was time to officially sign him (May D), that was when the problem came up. He wanted to have what Psquare had and so we had to let him go”.
Since signing with P-Square in 2011, May D had become a household name with the release of his hit singles, ‘Soundtrack’ the infectious ‘Ile-ijo’ and the more recent ‘Got Me High’.
Since getting dropped from the label in August of 2012, the winner of the Best RnB single at The Headies 2012, has gone on to establish his own label, Confam Entertainment.
