Community sends SOS to Jonathan over alleged attacks on Oteh

UMUAHIA—AMAOKWE-ITEM, home of embattled Director-General of Security and Exchange Commission, Ms Arumma Oteh, in Abia State, has sent a Save Our Souls message to President Goodluck Jonathan, asking him to protect their daughter from "unwarranted attacks" being unleashed on her by some Nigerians.

Speaking through the Secretary-General of Amaokwe-Item Development Welfare Union, Mr. Sunny Ogele, the community expressed concern at what it described as incessant politically- motivated attacks on Oteh.

According to Ogele, it has become imperative for the community to speak out as it has become clear to it that those after Oteh's job were becoming very desperate by the day.

The community also noted that same people who played key roles in the fraud that led to the collapse of Nigerian Stock Exchange had been after Oteh's job since she cleared the rot in the organisation.
